JDRF “Walk To Cure Diabetes” Being Held at Snake River Landing

Wednesday, July 16th, 2008

The Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF) recently announced that they will hold the first annual Walk To Cure Diabetes at Snake River Landing on September 13, 2008. In an effort to continue to raise funds to support diabetes cure research, this event has been brought to Idaho Falls after many successful JDRF walks throughout the United States.

Here is what Cindy Adolph, Snake River Landing Leasing Administrator had to say on the issue:

This fall, Snake River Landing will be joining hundreds of other corporations throughout southeast Idaho for the Walk to Cure Diabetes. This family-oriented event will be held on September 13 at Snake River Landing. All proceeds from the event will support research vital to finding a cure for diabetes.

Thanks in part to JDRF, researches feel that a cure IS in sight. Much of the groundbreaking research has been funded by the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.  In fact, JDRF is the largest private funder of diabetes research in the world. And out of every dollar that JDRF raises, an impressive 80 cents is channeled directly into diabetes research and projects.

We need your help! If you are a business that would like to join Snake River Landing by making a corporate contribution, taking a leadership role or joining the Walk, please contact cindy@ballventures.com or go to http://jdrf.org.

1st Annual “The River Rocks” Huge Success

Thursday, June 26th, 2008

The Art Museum of Eastern Idaho and Snake River Landing teamed up to present the first annual “The River Rocks” plein-air competition and festival held on June 19 - 21.

Over 60 artists from around the country competed in the plein-air art contest Thursday through Saturday and over 2,000 people strolled the landscaped walkways of Snake River Landing to view over 100 paintings and drawings that were displayed as part of the competition. Sculptors and metal artists were also on-hand to provide opportunities for the community to see art created first-hand.

The winners of the competition were announced at The River Rocks Party, a ticketed dinner attended by almost 300 community members. First place was awarded to Josh Clare, second place to Marina Zavalova-Hudson and third place to Sally Ellis.
